Tennessee!

After having travelled for nearly 4 months and overcoming countless challenges we are about to acheive our second state line crossing into Tennessee.  As The Boys and Luke make their way through Arkansas towards the Tennessee border, many exciting events are being planned for 2Dogs’ arrival in Memphis during the first weekend in August.

Thanks to everyone who has helped make this possible.  Nothing is going to stop us now!

For those who are new to the site, here's where the story began
In 2004, Malcolm was diagnosed with bone cancer which after amputation and chemotherapy ultimately spread to his lungs.  His loss devastated me but became the inspiration behind the 2,400 mile journey from Austin to Boston that I am taking with my two other boys, Hudson and Murphy. 

Our Mission:  Discovering the Cause of Cancer
There are many cancer foundations which work towards finding a cure and while we applaud their efforts, we want to know what's causing it. 

The funds raised from the walk will finance the first ever nationwide epidemiological canine cancer study.

More Than Just  Canine Cancer
But the implications of this study are even more far reaching. 

Scientists have discovered that the vast majority of cancers found in pets are the same types in humans, which make the dog an ideal model for research.  Not only will pets benefit from this study but people, too.

There is another reason, too.  By using dogs with pre-existing cancer for studies, it reduces our dependency on lab animals.  

We hope you will join our fast growing community and our journey towards ridding the world of cancer!
