Having received several requests from supporters who want to donate gear and supplies for the boys rather than financial contributions, we setup a Registry to give you an idea of what they need for the hike.   

As launch date draws near, I'll be adding some items that would make things a bit more comfortable on the road for us.  You can either use the registry or donate used goods if you have them.  We can get by without a lot of things, though.

I recall reading a story about "Grandma" Gatewood who, back in the early 1900s, twiced traversed the Appalachian Trail wearing black sneakers, a shower curtain for rain protection, and her food and spare clothing in a rucksack.  Most people are 'pantywaists' she would say.
